If you want to know Larkin, you must go inside her restaurants.  There is not one element that doesn't have her touch.  From the fabric, colors and materials in our dining rooms to the items on our menus - there is part of her everywhere you look and experience.  Larkin has been in the restaurant business since the day she stepped into her grandmother's roadhouse at the age of 5.  She loves what she does and it shows.  And if you want to know what those letters behind her name mean, she made them up!   They stand for Chief Creative Officier, Chief Magic Officer.  Her restaurants create magic every day!



Mark is the very foundation of the company.  He brings over 40 years of restaurant experience to the business including 20 years at PEPSICO (now YUM Brands).  His many talents keep the operations running smoothly, the fiscal responsibilities in check and our team excited to embrace our core values everyday.  He never waivers from “that was yesterday - now how are we going to make it better today?”  He is always where he needs to be, when he is needed, and is a true leader. 


Bob moved to Greenville in 2000 on a task force for Intercontinental Hotels. After falling in love with the city, Bob decided that this was the city in which he wanted to raise his two young children and make his home.


Bob met Mark & Larkin Hammond in 2002 in Lake Lure, NC. They kept in touch as Larkin's Restaurants grew. When expanding to Greenville in 2005, the Hammond's reached out to Bob to join the team.  


Bob began as the General Manager of what was then Rene's Steakhouse. Changing the name in October of that year to Larkin's on the River, Bob led the charge to grow the restaurant into one of the top restaurants in South Carolina as well as developing the catering side of the business into it's own entity, Larkin's Catering & Events.  This development led to the expansion to Larkin's Sawmill at North Main in 2012.  


In 2012, Bob was a key partner in the opening of Grill Marks, Greenville's Sophisticated Burger Joint.


Bob is responsible for the operations of Larkin's on the River, Larkin's Catering & Events, Grill Marks and Larkin's Carolina Grill in Columbus, NC.

Larkin’s on the River was established in October of 2005 and since that time, Larkin’s culinary inspirations have been created by the Executive Chef Alex Castro – known to our associates and guests as “Chef Alex.” He has taken what was once an old school steakhouse and evolved it into one of the most stunning and sensational restaurants in all of South Carolina.


Chef Alex has been a cornerstone in establishing Larkin’s reputation with local and international celebrities. He has prepared meals for sports celebrities: Bob Costas, Boston Red Sox hall of famer Jim Rice, movie stars: George Clooney, Renée Zellweger, Kevin Costner, Food Network Chef Tyler Florence as well as Martha Stewart.


Chef Alex not only oversees the menu at Larkin’s On The River but also for Larkin's Catering & Events.  We have provided exclusive catering for a variety of clients, including  the American Red Cross, BMW, GE, Michelin and many more.


Chef Alex has a keen sense for flavors, colors and composition. His creations have entertained diners in Greenville for the past twenty years and his ability to present a flavorful, beautiful and captivating plate every time is what makes Chef Alex an accomplished culinary professional.

Kristina came to Larkin's in 2007.  After Hurricane Katrina, Kristina transplanted her family to Greenville.  She has an extensive background in Culinary Arts and Event Management.
Kristina got her start working at casual restaurants, but really hit it big as a culinary expert at the West Point Academy in New York. Later on in Louisiana, she was an event coordinator for a privately owned event venue while also taking care of her son and love of her life, Connor.


Kristina designs events that no one else can! She always creates something different, something special and something unique. 


Kristina has catered events with Larkin's for BMW, SC Charities, Bi-Lo, Michelin, SYNNEX, ScanSource and more!  An event designed by Kristina will be unforgettable!
